Renault - KWID

Renault is gearing up to launch its first mass-market A-segment vehicle - Kwid which looks rather a crossover than a hatchback with Duster-like-esque. At the time of revealing, Renault said that the Kwid will be powered by an 800 cc three-cylinder petrol motor but reportedly the automaker will also introduce a 1.0-liter motor after 6-8 months of Kwid’s 0.8-liter launch (between September and November).

Maruti Suzuki YRA

We have come to know through our sources that Maruti will launch the YRA hatchback in October this year and the YBA compact SUV by January 2016.  Earlier, the Japanese automaker has revealed the name of the YRA hatchback, it will be christened as the Baleno in the global market. While, the roduction spec Maruti Suzuki YRA version has been spotted earlier without any camouflage, save for few bits on the head and tail lights. Powering the car could be the current generation of engine that we are seeing in Swift or even from Ciaz. Speculations are that the Japanese parent company Suzuki might bring in the BOOSTER-JET engine as well with YRA.

Upcoming Mahindra TUV300

Mahindra has officially announced the launch date for the TUV 300. The car will be launched on September 10, 2015. Earlier the manufacturer revealed their all new sub-4m compact SUV - TUV3OO (pronounced as TUV 3 double 'Oh', T stands for tough), it was internally codenamed project U301. The launch is slated around mid-September and deliveries will start soon after it. Speaking of the design, the company says the vehicle has been designed in-house by Mahindra with inputs from Italian design firm - Pininfarina! According to M&M, the TUV3OO’s design has been inspired from a battle tank and carries Mahindra’s DNA. The TUV3OO will be powered by a new mHAWK 80 diesel engine, details of the engine were not revealed by the automaker. Talking about the platform, the TUV3OO will debut a new platform which is most likely the shortened version of the Scorpio’s new hydroformed chassis. Furthermore, this TUV3OO’s platform is 4WD ready but at the time of launch, which is next month, it will not feature 4WD.
